THE Police are yet to identify the decomposing bodies recovered in Bugolobi and Mbuya city suburbs last week.
One of the bodies was found floating in a lagoon near Luthuli Avenue, while the other, without a head, was in a septic tank near a construction site on Solent Avenue in Mbuya.
The Jinja Road Police Station officer in charge of investigations, Herbert Wanyoto, said the bodies remain unidentified at the city mortuary in Mulago.
He added that the body recovered from Mbuya was of a suspect victim of human sacrifice because it was decapitated and its private parts were missing.
Wanyoto said the two bodies had decomposed beyond recognition, but stressed that they were both of black men, contrary to media reports that one was that of a white male adult.
