LOCAL musician Moses Ssali a.k.a. Bebe Cool and his wife, Zuena, remain admitted at a Kampala clinic after they were involved in a road accident on Wednesday evening.

Although Zuena sustained cuts on her forehead and neck, X-ray and CT-Scan examinations showed the couple did not suffer internal injuries, Bebe Cool said.

He, however, complained of “pain all over the body” much as he had no external injuries.

A nurse at Kadic Clinic in Bukoto said the couple was out of danger, but cautioned that Zuena needed further observation.

Bebe Cool attributed the 5:00pm accident at Wabikonkome in Nakasongola district to a tyre burst.

He recalled that the driver, Rasta Tony, lost control after one of the back tyres ripped apart and the vehicle overturned.
“We were chatting when we suddenly heard a loud bang. Tony tried to control the vehicle, but he failed,” he said.

An ambulance rushed them to the clinic.
Bebe Cool and Zuena were travelling to Kampala from Lira to mobilise residents to take part in the ongoing voter registration.

He said the burst tyre was the spare one, which mechanics in Lira had fixed at about midday before the journey to Kampala.

Other occupants in the vehicle were Brian, the artiste’s associate, Siiwa, his bodyguard and a policeman.

Brian was also at Kadic, while Tony, who had pain in the back, was admitted at Mulago Hospital where he was being treated for “dislocation” of the back.

The crash is the second in the artiste’s tribulations since the year began. In January, he, along with two others, was shot by a policeman after a misunderstanding.
